Zulqar's in the frame when it comes to wedding videos

A LOCAL video film-maker has won industry acclaim for his ability to catch the wonderful wedding experience.

Zulqar Cheema, of SVS VIDEO SERVICES, based in Berecroft, Harlow, was runner-up in the best wedding video category of the 2004 Institute of Videography Awards with a 30-minute production featuring creative use of graphics, monochrome and pictures edited to music.

“Every video I do I try to get a feel of what kind of people the clients are and use that in how I put it together,” said Mr. Cheema. “I try to make the programme convey them and their style and attitude – formal or laid-back, traditional or quirky.”

Mr. Cheema has been in the video business since 1988 doing a range of work. He views film-making as such a vocation that he retains all his edit masters as tomorrow’s social and commercial history.

He also provides film-making sessions for corporate hospitality, fun events or team-building exercises, getting managers and staff together to plan, script, direct and help to shoot and edit a short programme.
