Father of the Bride Speech Opening Lines
Having a great opener that you have rehearsed several times will give you a huge confidence boost at the start of your father of the bride speech. This can be especially useful if you are nervous about talking in front of an audience.
Even of you plan to read your script out it is a good idea to commit the first few lines to memory. This is the time in your father of the bride speech when your nerves will be most heightened so knowing the first few lines as well as you know your own name will set you in good stead for the rest of your speech.
We have put together a list of sample father of the bride speech openers. These openers can be used as they are or adapted to your wedding party. Adapting classic lines is a good way to put your mark on them and keep your father of the bride speech sounding fresh and original.
